These two are such a cute pair. We had lots of fun taking these pics!

This weekend I got to test out studio lighting with Donny and his girlfriend Ang at Shane Kelly’s Studio. I can’t remember the last time I laughed so hard. I especially enjoyed the skit where they pretended to get engaged with my ring!! LOVE the story board with these photos.

This family was so easy to photograph. The day was like a play date. So much fun!

After it was all done, I captured the kids having a little treat. I experimented with a bit of texture to create the end product. Too cute!

Until this week, a major element missing from my website was the music. Wednesday a song was added as the site’s title track. Since then so many people are wondering, “Who is this guy with the great voice?”

Donny Love (aka Donny Goobie) is the credit to enhancing my website with his song “Hold on Me”. I’ve known Donny all my life and never knew he said such a talent until recent past.  

Donny is true Newfoundland stock as evident through his musical talent and humor. Some of you might already know him through his characters on George Street TV. 

Keep googling his name for his new releases. I think Donny is going to be Canada’s next Brian Adams (but of course better and cuter).

Donny, thank you again for the use of your song. I’m so proud of you and wish you the best in your musical career!

I had fun making this story board. Now I just need the perfect quote to add to it. I’m thinking a kid version of “Dancing with Myself” by Billy Idol.

With the new website and blog designs, I decided to design new business cards.

The design I liked the best is similar to the new website gallery intro. The proof will be ready Monday. I really hope the font looks good!

Off to a new start. This week the new Karla Metcalfe Photography website was published.

Look forward to creating new blog along with it. So the search for new blog design begins. Stay tuned!

I started making little collages for a title page of the proof books with odd number of proofs. You could also use them as announcements.

Well I’ve done it. The constant critic has open herself up to comments.

I think the hardest part of blogging is actually setting up the blog. I’m not quite happy with the design yet so I will be changing it over the next few months.
